Wireless Alarm
(with benefits)
KNOW WHEN SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT…
- Temperature (hot, cold or changes too quickly),
- Network outage (goes offline, hardware or sensor failure),
- Power failure (glitch, loss of supply, generator running, phase fail).
MySentinel, the innovative alarm monitoring system specifically designed for poultry farmers.
Think of MySentinel as your vigilant, 24/7 farmhand. It’s a sophisticated system that gives you peace of mind by continuously monitoring critical parameters in your poultry sheds, like temperature and power status. But it's more than a simple alarm system—it's your personal data analyst that records and displays real-time data in an easy-to-understand format on a secure webpage.
What sets MySentinel apart is its 'waterfall alarm system'. When an issue arises, it won't just alert you and stop at that. The system ensures that someone responds, by moving down the contact list until someone does. In fact, MySentinel can take the first call, vets the issue, and if it's urgent, they'll pass the alert onto you, saving you from unnecessary disruptions.
Perhaps you're worried about installation? Don’t be. The system is easily installed in your shed's annex and is connected to your shed power using a standard power point. Plus, it's designed for durability and requires virtually no maintenance.
One of the standout features of MySentinel is its adaptability. Its alarm thresholds are not fixed—they auto adjust according to the age of your birds and weather conditions. Moreover, you can expand the system with wireless sensors to monitor multiple locations in your shed, offering even more granular data on temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and gas compounds.
But what about connectivity issues? MySentinel has got you covered. The system uses commercial level connection that works even in areas with poor internet connectivity. Plus, it has a built-in battery to continue communication during a power outage, ensuring all your data remains current.
MySentinel is more than just a tool—it's a long-term investment for your farm. It provides you with detailed, valuable insights, helping you better understand your sheds and improve your operations. You also get an independent, auditable record of your shed conditions which can be extremely useful for welfare checks and audits.
While MySentinel is already packed with features, we're committed to continual improvement and will remotely update your system with the latest advancements.
Join the MySentinel family today, and let us help you take your poultry farming to the next level.
Generates an output (alarm) based on an input condition.
It happens in two parts: on-farm and on-line. The two need each other and if one disappears the other alarms.
One of the inputs is a temperature sensor (typically there are two). Its value is uploaded to the cloud every five minutes (reporting what happened each minute for the last five). During that time if the temperature goes above or below the set point for that day (as supplied by the cloud dashboard) it sends an alarm signal to the cloud. The cloud takes the message and calls the associated number, reading out the shed name and alarm details. Your response determines what happens next, from silencing the alarm (for up to 15 minutes) to calling the next number on the list.
Along with temperature the unit will alarm if the power goes off (it has its own backup battery that will keep it going for more than 12hrs).
Other inputs will alarm on phase fail (using a monitoring relay).
The second temperature probe will also alarm if the shed temperature changes quickly and gets above 40degC (a precursor to fire or significant event).
Yes. All alarms are monitored by our administrator team in two locations with two methods: LED display board and web page display panel. All alarm instances generate a forced notification before creating a phone call.
It will dial and call the nominated first number (set via the dashboard). When you answer it will read a detailed message as to where the alarm is and what it is. If you miss three attempts for it to call you (by not answering your phone), it will step to the next number on the list, until someone responds to the prompt it reads out. If you do, you then have 15 minutes to rectify the situation before it will alarm call again.
Example of what you'd hear: "This is an alarm message. Temperature in shed 4 is 15 degrees and cold. Press 1 to silence this alarm, press 2 to dial the next number on the list, press 3 to repeat this message."
You can view it on the website dashboard where you can review trends via the graph view as well as a snapshot on what is happening in each shed.
It will keep trying. If it can't get hold of one of your nominated numbers it will keep trying and wont stop until the call is answered (even if the alarm state stops).
- Cut the wires/damage the temperature sensor = it will instantly alarm. Plus, there are two, temperature sensors so we can look at data from the other.
- Disconnect the antenna = it may alarm, but only if it can’t get the data through. The cloud will be expecting the data at a pre-set time and if it’s late by six minutes your phone will ring.
- Un-plug the power = it will instantly alarm with ‘power glitch’. After one minute it will hard alarm that there is a power cut.
- Physically destroy the unit = an alarm call once it goes six minutes past its pre-set report time.
- Pour water on it = nothing until it can’t send valid data. Then you will get a phone call alarm,
- The cloud fails = we take action to resolve the issue, including stepping to a secondary region that delivers the same cloud services,
- We've been struck by lightning and everything is out = it will alarm and we will be notified the unit is offline. We'll ready a replacement that can be reinstalled in a few minutes.
Yes! The unit has multiple inputs and outputs that can be used in other industries – particularly if you’re needing to monitor and alarm on controlled environment conditions in remote locations (even if there is no power).
Each shed has one unit:
$1295 + GST (dashboard, data and monitoring for 24 months) + install (typically $180)
After testing the market for the past three years the above price was the preferred option by customers.
The data/dashboard cost is $15/month per unit (once the two years is up).
*All prices are plus GST.
